An Introduction to the
Adult Centre of Excellence
Nelson & Colne College’s Adult Centre of Excellence is responsible for 19+ students, full and part-time, and the Business Centre. The College’s 19+ provision continues to grow and courses are offered in September and other times throughout the year. Please contact us for latest information.
Adult students join us for a number of reasons; to improve career prospects, to develop a new route in life or to learn more about a hobby or interest.
The course guide, issued throughout the local community and beyond, is available here. The College also offers a range of quality Basic Skills and ESOL programmes which are designed to raise the level of language, literacy and numeracy of the local population. These will be delivered in college and in the community in a wide variety of contexts and settings. Nelson & Colne College is also proud of its range of courses offered to students who need a gentle return to education.
Nelson & Colne College’s Business Centre supports local businesses through employer training provision. We are committed to finding the most suitable training and business support solutions to meet your needs.
Financial Support
Did you know that you may be eligible for an Adult Learning Grant of up to £30 per week? If you are aged 19 or above and studying full-time (approx 13 hours a week) on a level 2 or 3 qualification then ask for more information.
