Learners aged 19+ wanting to return to education and who are keen to progress to University and enter in to careers within the Nursing/Health sector including Adult, Child and Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography, Disability Studies, Paramedic Practice, Nutrition and Occupational Health.


GCSEs in English and Maths at grades

A*-C is highly preferable. Additional qualifications (e.g. Science) may be needed for entry onto specific degree programmes. However, some universities may have variations to their entry requirements e.g. some will accept Level 2 functional skills equivalent.

You would be advised to research university admissions prior to your interview. Details can also be discussed at interview.

You must also bring proof of any current qualifications along to your interview.

Learning is assessed in a variety of methods to prepare you for study at University. These may include an extended essay, presentations, timed assessments under controlled conditions and report writing.

Access courses may be FREE with an Advanced Learner Loan! Loans may be reclaimed upon completion of a HE qualification. Financial support may also available for learners to support with course related fees.
