|A Level Geography|
|Entry Requirements:||Two grade 5s and three 4s in five subject areas at GCSE, to include a minimum of a grade 4 in Mathematics and English Language. Geography at grade 5 or above.|

Geography is a subject that examines contemporary issues facing the world as a whole and individuals on a local scale. This A Level programme uses recent examples of natural hazards and cutting edge knowledge of complex global systems such as climate change, allowing us to improve our understanding of the natural world.
What will I learn?
Students will also research a range of impacts due to the world becoming more globalised, from diverse sources and first hand experience. Fieldwork and research are an extremely important part of the geographical inquiry process. Students will be required to complete a minimum of four days guided fieldwork and various research tasks throughout the programme culminating in their own research paper in the second year.
How will the course be assessed?
You will be assessed by examinations at the end of the two-year course.
You will also be expected to carry out independent study and other personal development activities alongside your programme, such as additional workshops, an Extended Project Qualification, leisure extracurricular activities, volunteering or work experience, or part-time employment.
