Ainsley is a former student of Colne Primet High School, and is currently completing a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care at the College.
As part of her Apprenticeship, Ainsley is employed by Sevacare Home Care Services and said that she enjoys working ‘on-the-job’, gaining practical skills, but that it is reassuring to know that her tutor is always at the end of the telephone for any help and advice.
Ainsley said, “Apprenticeships are great for me as I am always gaining new knowledge and skills. I love that I am not working from one place, but visit around 10 people in a day so there’s lots of variety. I want to be a nurse and so this apprenticeship is giving me all the relevant skills and experience I need to succeed.”
After completing her Apprenticeship, Ainsley plans to complete a degree in Adult Nursing at Lancaster University.
