£400 of FREE training for your business!

Did you know that Nelson and Colne College is able to deliver training FREE to suit your business needs? You and your employees may be eligible* for 8 hours of FREE training valued at £400, funded via the European Social Fund.

This training could include:

• Working with Excel

• Understanding Email

• Database design and management

• Principles of customer service

• Effective report writing

• Accurate minute taking

• Developing and delivering a presentation

• Health and Safety

*Eligibility: Aged 19+ employees without prior qualifications OR qualifications which are outdated. Limited offer only.

Financial support for employing a new apprentice

The Government has made additional funding available to enable employers to support new employees through an Apprenticeship programme.

This will be in the form of two grant payments up to a maximum of £2,500 for every new apprentice you employ.

The Employer Apprenticeship Incentive Scheme (age 16-18)

As an employer you may be eligible to receive a wage subsidy for your apprentice. If you have an existing employee between the age of 16-18 years old and your business would benefit if they received a professional qualification, Nelson and Colne College could offer you a wage subsidy of £30 per week for 30 weeks.
