We offer 3 BTEC Extended Diploma pathways of study:
Multimedia and Website Development
You will study Computer Systems, Visual Programming, Web Management/Development, Networking and also PC Maintenance. You will be introduced to computer systems and databases, various uses of IT in industry, Information Systems and Web Development.
Games Design
This pathway will give you the skills required to work in the fields of Computer Games Design and New Media Industries. You will produce 2D and 3D games, websites and flash animations. You will learn about the games industry and games platforms.
PC Maintenance and IT Technician
You will gain an insight in the technical and hardware skills required to become a Computer Technician. This course covers in detail the workings of a computer‘s systems and networks, allowing you to be well versed in all day-to-day maintenance of PCs and networks. As part of the course you will also gain the Level 2 City & Guilds PC Maintenance qualification which will set you up for either a route into the IT industry or progression to university.
