Nelson and Colne College’s Class of 2017 has continued the College’s long track record of excellent results with a 99.7% pass rate at A Level!

A total of 26 subjects saw an outstanding 100% pass rate this year, with 87% of entries achieving A*-C grades – an increase of 8% on last year.

There was a larger number of exam entries this year – 774 in comparison to 698 in 2016 – making the success of NCC students even more remarkable.

Many students are going on to study at top universities across the UK, including Russell Group establishments such as the University of Cambridge, University of York, University of Warwick, University of Leeds and the University of Manchester.

Some students have gained a place at first class universities as part of the College’s Realising Opportunities programme, a unique collaboration of 15 leading, research intensive universities, who are working together to promote fair access and social mobility of students from groups underrepresented in higher education.

It has also proved a stellar year for Creative subjects, with Art, Film Studies, Graphic Design, Photography, and Textiles all achieving 100% A*-C grades.
