EkoKrafters, an eco-friendly crafting group at Nelson and Colne College Sixth Form, has this term decided to support the British Legion Poppy Appeal 2014.
EkoKrafters may be a new name for a returning College group, but they have made their mark once again! The creative craft group has raised £78.00 on 21st October for the British Legion Poppy Appeal 2014. The group sold homemade poppies outside of the College Refectory, for staff and students alike to purchase from, and all proceeds went to the charity. Another homemade poppy sale will occur on the 4th November.
The craft group, which last year was known as Knit n Stitch, has a long history of charitable donations and appeals. Their next project, from the week commencing 3rd November, will be glass painting.
