|Sport/Uniformed Services Level 1|
|Entry Requirements:||5 GCSEs at grade 2/E or above including either Mathematics or English OR Entry Level qualification and Entry Level 3 in either Mathematics or English.|

The course provides an interesting and varied basic introduction to Uniformed Services/Sport. It will help you develop skills for progression onto higher level courses within this area as well as give you wide skills such as study skills, communication skills, English and Maths along with employability skills such as team work, CV writing, time management, prioritising and being organised.
As part of the course you will have a chance to go on various trips, eg to the local fire station, hospital or a scout camp. There are also meetings with external speakers who can help you make your career choices and answer questions regarding career opportunities and progression within Uniformed Services and Sport.
Learning is through classroom based and practical workshop activities. Maths and English will be a core part of the qualification.

- Personal behaviour for success
- Personal presentation for the workplace

Written assignments, exams and practical assessments.

Materials and other information
Alongside all programmes, students will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities from trips and visits, to enterprise activities and fundraising. You may also have the opportunity to complete work experience within your chosen career area.
As part of your study programme you will undertake relevant work experience linked to your career aspiration. This experience is designed to expand your skills, develop your CV and develop industry contacts. You will have support tin finding your placement through your tutors and our dedicated careers team.
Progression and Careers
Students can progress onto a traineeship, Apprenticeship, Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in either Sport (general football) or Uniformed Services.
