|Entry Requirements:||4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above including either Mathematics or English, or a Level 1 equivalent in this area and GCSE Mathematics or English at grades 3/D or above. Plus a successful trial.|

This one year course will highlight the variety of opportunities available within the sport and leisure industries, and develop your footballing skills. As well as football performance, you will study a range of interesting modules which may include fitness testing, planning and leading sports activities.
At the end of this programme you will gain a portfolio of qualifications which may include Level 2 Coaching and Level 1 FA Coaching, which will be an excellent course grounding for further study at Level 3.

The units you study will depend on your GCSE grade profile, however, they may include;

- Planning and leading sports activities
- Nutrition for sports performance
- Principles of coaching studies
- Gym-based fitness instructing
How will the course be assessed?
The units are assessed using a variety of different methods including written assignments, PowerPoint presentations, group work, practical assessments and competency based assessments.
Materials and other information
There are a range of recommended reading materials for this programme. Students are required to purchase sports kit, polo tops and hooded sweatshirts. The remaining attire is general sportswear e.g. shorts, tracksuit bottoms, and suitable footwear, indoor and outdoor. Please note suitable footwear for the 3G pitch is either sports trainers, moulded boots or astro trainers.
