This programme is aimed at students who have completed a Level 3 course in Sport or a related subject, who are looking to study a Higher Education programme locally to progress their career within this sector.
This programme has a number of different subject specialisms that result in different award titles. The title of the award made will depend on the modules completed. The titles of the awards available are:
- HNC Sport
- HNC Sport (Outdoor Adventure)
- HNC Sport (Community Sport & Physical Activity)
- HNC Sport (Leisure Management)
- HND Sport
- HND Sport (Outdoor Adventure Management)
- HND Sport (Community Sport & Physical Activity)
- HND Sport (Leisure Management)
Students will attend two days per week for the full-time route or one day per week for the part-time route.
What will I learn?
Students who have completed a Level 3 course in Sport or a related subject, who are looking to study a Higher Education programme locally to progress their career within this sector.
Units of study may include:
- Physical Activity, Lifestyle & Health
- The Sport Landscape
- Project Management
Plus, a selection of optional units dependent upon the subject pathway.
How will the course be assessed?
A series of written and practical work is assessed by your tutors and will determine your overall grade.

All HE enrolments are subject to the College’s Higher Education Student Agreement.
This course can offer opportunities for students to continue their study in Sport by progressing to a HND Sport or to Year 2 of selected university degree courses.
