Course Overview

This programme is aimed at those wanting to teach in further, higher and adult education, also within the 14+ school sector (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills).

What will I learn?

Modules in the programme may include:

YEAR 1
• Research Informed Teaching, Learning and Assessment
• Becoming a Subject Specialist Teacher

YEAR 2
• Being a Subject Specialist Teacher
• Policy and Professional Issues

How will the course be assessed?

Assessment takes place at the end of each module and takes the form of reports, presentations, essays, case studies and logs/journals, as appropriate.

Progression

Students can use their credits to go on to a top-up BA (Hons) in Education and Professional Development. PGCE students are also able to progress onto their Masters Degree upon completion of this programme.
