Course Overview

Do you have a budding artist at home? Or do you want to gain innovative ideas that encourage your child to experiment with art? Enrol as a family onto our 3 week 'Arty Adventures' after school Art Club now!
Exciting resource pack provided including all the necessary materials to complete the wonderful art activities in the comfort of your own home. This creative and engaging course heavily embeds family wellbeing with the aim that by engaging in our Arty Adventure as a family, you and your child will improve your interaction at home and gain invaluable skills such as confidence and resilience. Suitable for children aged 7-11 and their parents/ carers. Free resource packs provided.

How long is the course?
This course is over 3 weeks, approx. 1.5 hrs per week.

What will I learn?

By completing this course you will be able to recognise how you can support your children at home with creative activities:
Carry out different types of art activities, which encourage interaction, support learning and can be replicated at home.
Identify ways in which art can impact on family wellbeing
Progress to further learning opportunities and aspirations

How will the course be assessed?

Learners attend via the online platform Zoom on a set day and time. The sessions will be delivered live and learners will be supported to work through the course content. In addition to this, learners will be given a resource pack to aid their children in completing set tasks.

Materials and other information

So the course can start on time, it’s important to be ready to join your online course 15 minutes prior to the official start time.

The Additional Learning Support Team work across college supporting students with a variety of learning needs in different ways.  Support can be requested at enrolment or at any point throughout your

It would be useful to have a pen and paper so you can make notes throughout the course. It is also advised to have some scissors and a glue stick to hand. The resource packs contain all other resources you will need and will be available for you to pick up before the course starts.

Progression and Careers

During the session you will have the opportunity to discuss your progress with the teacher and feedback will be provided. You will also be encouraged to provide course feedback to your teacher and take part in end of course evaluation.
