41 week course
The programme will be available on a full-time basis over one year. Students will attend one day/evening per week for the full-time route.
This qualification builds upon the Foundation Degree in Early Years (Childhood Studies) and provides vocationally relevant knowledge and understanding, as well as academically relevant knowledge in order to achieve a balanced view of childhood.
Students will debate policy initiatives which impact on the health and wellbeing of children and families, as well as on their education. As a high level practitioner, students will critically appraise the theories of leadership and management and consider their own role within this context.
Students will demonstrate the ability to carry out analytical research based on the area of practice, and develop data analytical skills to reach a reasoned and evidence based conclusion.
