What will I learn?

By completing this course you will be able to recognise how you can support your children in their STEAM skills. They will be able to highlight and identify how these skills are reinforced, such as their mathematical skills in measuring, estimating and calculating. You will be developing your Communication, Mathematical and team building skills within sessions and use them effectively to aid your children’s learning.

At the end of the session you will be able to:
1. Design and build a model of your choice by following instructions
2. Complete the helicopter challenge in the given time frame
3. Plan and improve a design.
4. Know some useful websites and applications to support your child’s learning.
5. Identify further learning opportunities and aspirations

How will the course be assessed?

Learners attend via the online platform Zoom on a set day and time. The sessions will be delivered live and learners will be supported to work through the course content. In addition to this, learners will be given a resource pack to aid their children in completing set tasks.
