Apprenticeship summary
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Setting of Transfer Presses to prepare the machines before production
- Perform test runs, and, if necessary, adjust and make minor repairs to the machinery or tooling before and during operation
- Fitting, development, and refurbishment of tooling
- Setting of Transfer Presses
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The Apprentice will be based at Nelson and Colne College for the first year of their apprenticeship completing Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Level 2 Foundation Skills in our Engineering workshop
- From the second year onwards, you will be based in company, but will attend college one day a week (day to be confirmed)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to progress within the company or move onto higher level qualifications
