Introduction to Vocational Science: Crime Scene Investigation Demonstration
6pm, 6.30pm and 7pm
This is an interesting and challenging vocational route where you will study forensic evidence collection and analysis, forensic fire investigation and criminal investigation practices.The police and law courts rely heavily on evidence extracted by scientists in the forensic industry. This virtual session will enable you to gain insight into this course further, you’ll also be able to take part in a Crime Scene Investigation demonstration.

Our Pre-Professional Programmes are unique and innovative schemes, which you can take alongside your A Level studies.They are career-focused programmes aimed at helping you to make an informed choice about your future, while encouraging breadth and depth of study and research in your chosen career path. This live session will be a discussion with the dedicated tutor and will enable you to ask any questions you may have about the Pre-Med programme.

Health and Social Care: Live Virtual Tour and Introduction to Working in ELHT

This exciting session will provide prospective students with a live virtual tour of a simulated Health and Social Care room and also be very informative in providing an ELHT (East Lancashire Healthcare Trust) overview of the Cadets and job opportunities that are available if studying this programme.
Virtual Tour of the Sports Facilities and Competition
6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm and 7.30pm
This virtual session will provide students with an introduction to the Sport and Exercise Sciences division, with an exciting virtual tour of the sports lab facilities and the Batak wall, which is used regularly throughout the programme.
Students can also expect to undertake a practical task as part of a competition using the Homecourt App. This is a free to download app that students will require a smartphone or ipad for and need a ball, for example: a football, tennis ball or basketball.
Hair and Beauty LIVE Demonstration of Long Hair Styling
6pm and 7pm
If you’re interested in finding out more about our Hairdressing programme at Nelson and Colne College then this is the virtual session for you.
While you’ll find out all about the programme itself, the course content and the facilities available, you’ll also be able to access an exclusive live demonstration of long hair styling (which you’ll be able to repeat on yourself and others after the demo), delivered by our Hairdressing tutors.
