This course is part of the NCC Ambitions Programme – a unique programme for Level 2 students, which will support you in developing key personal skills such as communication, confidence, resilience, employability and presentation skills.
On this course you will learn about the skills and attributes needed to become a health and social work professional. You will look at the importance of effective communication, equality and diversity and how to meet the needs of individuals who use health or social care services. A work placement element will give you the necessary experience to pursue a career in the Health and Social Care sector.
There will be lots of opportunities for trips, visits, guest speakers, mentoring and work experience. This is an exciting programme, designed to help you get ready for your next steps.

How will the course be assessed?
These units will be assessed through presentations, professional interviews, creating posters and leaflets, workbooks and short essays.
Materials and other information
A uniform is required for the work placement unit. You will be offered the opportunity to take part in trips and visits, some of which will include a nominal charge.
